Jakarta - The decline in COVID-19 cases in Indonesia after the implementation of PPKM (Implementation of Restrictions on Community Activities) with different levels, should not make the public off guard and become undisciplined in implementing health protocols (prokes). The public must refrain and be vigilant because the COVID-19 virus still exists. This is important to avoid the peak of the third wave of the increase in COVID-19 cases in Indonesia.
If it is not urgent, it is better to stay at home. If you have to do activities outside the home, always be disciplined in doing the 5M protocols and immediately schedule a COVID-19 vaccination. Another important thing is to maintain endurance by exercising regularly and ensuring your body has enough nutrients every day. This is because the threat of transmission of the COVID-19 virus still occurs every day, and it is even known that there are new COVID-19 variants in other countries.
The Global World is Facing the Peak of the Third Wave of the Pandemic
Currently, the country with the largest number of positive COVID-19 cases in the world, the United States (US), is experiencing the third peak of the pandemic, even though the upward curve is slowing down. The same thing is happening in Malaysia and Japan. The difference is that in Japan the curve is starting to decline, while Malaysia is still at the peak of the third wave of the pandemic.
Unlike other countries that have not reached the first peak in January 2021, India experienced the first peak in September 2020. While the global world has just experienced the first peak, India has already experienced the second surge peak in April 2021. Indonesia has also passed the second peak in July 2021, and the curve is steadily declining. Meanwhile, the global world is currently experiencing the third wave peak.

Beware of the Third Wave Peak & New COVID-19 Variants Mu and R1
Quoted from the covid19.go.id page, the World Health Organization (WHO) is aware of the new COVID-19 variant Mu (B.162.1) found in Colombia since January 2021. The Mu variant has been designated by WHO as a variant of interest (VOI) as of August 30, 2021 to find out more about indications of malignancy and the level of spread.
Another new variant that was also discovered in January 2021 is the R1 variant. According to COVID-19 Handling Task Force Spokesperson Prof. Wiku Adisasmito, the R1 variant found in the United States, Japan, China, India, and western Europe is still classified as 'variants under monitoring' by WHO.
In addition, according to Amesh A. Adalja, MD from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health's Center for Health Security, it is unlikely that the R.1 variant will overtake the Delta variant as the most severe mutation of the Sars-Cov-2 virus. Quoting from Health, Research Assistant Professor of Infectious Diseases at Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine, Ramon Lorenzo Redondo, PhD said the best way to keep yourself safe from any strain of SARS-Cov-2 is to get fully vaccinated and practice prophylaxis.
"The re-emergence of the new variant should be a reminder for all of us that COVID-19 has not completely disappeared from this world. For this reason, the wisest attitude we can take is to consistently implement health protocols in all aspects of life without being excessively afraid," Wiku said.

Prevent Indonesia from experiencing the peak of the third wave
Wiku emphasized the importance of learning from the pattern of increasing cases during the pandemic in Indonesia. Especially with the discourse on the permissibility of several major activities, and the approaching Christmas and New Year period in 2022.
Compared to the first wave, which lasted 13 weeks, the second wave lasted for 8 weeks. The condition continues to improve because the conditions for the increase in COVID-19 cases in Indonesia are immediately handled. So that the curve shows a gentle slope, unlike other countries that are experiencing a third surge.
In addition to the government continuing to invite the public to be vaccinated, the active role of the community is needed to keep the curve sloping by making the following efforts.
1. Always be disciplined in carrying out 5M protocols as the easiest and cheapest effort that can be done, even though some social community activities have been reopened.
2. Realizing that the policy of limiting mobility and community activities is still the main factor controlling the pandemic situation. This can be seen from the pattern of spikes in Indonesia over the past 3 months, where cases began to fall after restrictions on mobility and social activities were imposed. As restrictions are eased, cases slowly increase.
3. Adopt a new healthy lifestyle by exercising daily and keeping your body's nutrition balanced by taking multivitamin supplement products. For those of you who are active, dynamic, and still often do activities outside the home, you must take vitamin C and vitamin D3 supplements. The reason is, these two types of vitamins are included in the urgency list to have a prime immune system during a pandemic.

No Day Without Vitamin C and D3
For those of you who are at a productive age and active every day, take MecoVit-C 500 mg supplements as the best vitamin C intake for the body. Taking MecoVit-C 500 mg, 1 tablet every day after meals can ensure that your immune system is maintained so that you can stay healthy and active outdoors. MecoVit-C 500 mg ensures that you can stay active in your daily activities.
Although the body can produce vitamin D by itself, it is only effective when the sun's UV (Ultra Violet) rays hit your skin directly to form active vitamin D called vitamin D3. For this reason, take MecoVit-D3 1000 IU supplements to ensure that you have enough vitamin D in your body. Simply take MecoVit-D3 1000 IU 1 tablet per day after meals to maintain your immune system.

Always provide MecoVit-C 500 mg and MecoVit-D3 1000 IU in your home to ensure the health and endurance of the whole house is perfectly maintained. Besides having hygienic packaging, MecoVit-C 500 mg and MecoVit-D3 1000 IU also have real results at an economical price. MecoVit-C 500 mg and MecoVit-D3 1000 IU can be purchased at pharmacies, drug stores, supermarkets, minimarkets, and your trusted online shops such as Shopee, Tokopedia, Lazada, Blibli, JD.ID, and Bukalapak.
