Encouraging the transformational development of the Pharmaceutical Industry, Mecosin Goes To Campus Collaborates with UMN

The pharmaceutical industry has had very good business growth in Indonesia over the past few years. It is certain that the growth prospects of the pharmaceutical industry sector will continue to increase in the coming years.

PresidentDirector PT. Mecosin Indonesia, Yurita Tjahaja explained, to answer challenges in the pharmaceutical sector, human resources are needed who have adaptive skills and are able to respond to the industrial revolution 4.0, elaborate and integrate their knowledge with big data and management information systems and continuously carry out research, development and innovation of healing medicines. The collaboration between PT Mecosin Indonesia and Multimedia Nusantara University (UMN) is expected to support the availability of quality human resources so that the pharmaceutical sector becomes even more advanced in the future.

"With the exchange of information, sharing of insights between companies and universities, it will accelerate the realization of the pharmaceutical world's hopes of growing and developing more rapidly and modernly," said Yurita at the Mecosin office in Bogor, Tuesday (23/1/2024).

The collaboration that will be established between PT Mecosin Indonesia and UMN is outlined in the Mecosin Goes to Campus program, which will be followed by internship programs, training and community service.

Meanwhile, UMN's External Student Affairs Manager, Elfira Fitri Wahyono, said that collaboration with industry is an obligation for the UMN community. Moreover, industrial progress is currently very rapid. Adaptation and collaboration are important to balance this.

"UMN is very happy to be able to collaborate with PT Mecosin Indonesia which will bring many positive things to our students and campus," said Elfira.

Operational Director of PT Mecosin Indonesia, Budi Hermawan, admitted that he was very proud that his party could collaborate with Multimedia Nusantara University (UMN).

Budi added that currently there are still few university graduates interested in working in the pharmaceutical industry. He hopes that this collaboration with UMN can make the pharmaceutical industry in the country increasingly promoted and well publicized to generation Z.

"Mecosin, which was founded in 1961, hopes that with this collaboration, more young people or millennials will join the pharmaceutical industry so that business operational management can be enriched with new, fresher ideas and with technology-savvy professional staff, it is hoped that they can create an automation system in the production process and be able to "carry out digital-based marketing activities," said Budi.
